见怪不怪

插画师：白脑绘

半自由插画师，偏爱怪物形象的创作，作品常融入皮影元素，喜欢让角色们“动”起来。作品风格极不“专一”、特别不“稳定”。喜欢探寻与创造新风格。

“所谓怪物，看似背离了自然的可能性，却从未背离内在的可能性。”

本次，白脑绘将融合了皮影元素的手绘原稿带到个展《见怪不怪》，展览于6月10日持续至9月10日。

怪，是人类所达不到的心中的向往，白脑绘已向你展现她的怪诞世界，那你们呢？

Prefac

I think it's not strange to enter an exhibition hall and get close to my works. Who doesn't have a monster in their heart? 

Using Lu Xun's words, there were no monsters in the world, but as people thought more about them, monsters appeared. 

The peculiarity of monsters lies in the fact that they go against the norm, but they are also a way. Perhaps they are our special sustenance or alternative expression in our hearts. 

Having participated in many cultural and creative product exhibitions, I have found that the bizarre and ugly little monsters I made accidentally are often favored over my meticulously crafted and self-proclaimed perfect works. Even beautiful girls are holding my ugly and even monstrous little creations and exclaiming, "Wow, how cute!"

Is it not strange?

This has forced me to think: Monsters may seem to go against the possibility of nature, but they have never gone against the possibilities within. They are a projection of the human heart, and their core must lead to the normal imagination of people. It is precisely this possibility within that creates the bizarre charm of monsters. Abnormal, irrational, and supernatural means of expression are another path in art. The strange and absurd artistic images created by these means can expose the abnormality and pathology of the external world, and can also praise the nobility of the spiritual world. They have unique aesthetic tastes and functions.

So why should we still be surprised at the unusual?

The peculiarity of monsters is the novelty of their differences. When monsters reach a certain level, they become divine, hence the term "divine monsters." Monsters are the human desire beyond reach.
